Women’s Law Project Executive Director Carol Tracy appeared on WHYY Radio Times yesterday to discuss the sexual assault allegations against Judge Kavanaugh and the significance of how the Senate Judiciary Committee handles these allegations.
Other guests include NPR’s Congressional reporter Scott Detrow and Ron Hosko, former assistant director of the FBI and president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund.
In addition to parsing the allegations, Tracy discusses how the Senate Judiciary Committee is handling allegations of sexual assault against U.S. Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh compared with the Committee’s notoriously disastrous handling of Anita Hill’s allegations that then-nominee Clarence Thomas harassed her when she worked for him.
In 1991, Tracy wrote about the treatment of Anita Hill in a piece for the Philadelphia Inquirer, which you can read here.
