Typically, the Women’s Law Project hosts two galas a year: The Rights to Realities party in Pittsburgh every spring and the Philadelphia party every winter.
The good news is that this year, supporters from across the state have a chance to “attend” Rights to Realities since it will be hosted online on Friday, May 15.
We’re excited to meet you!
We temporarily closed our physical offices, but we are all working from home to protect your rights, health, economic security as the coronavirus numbers climb. Your support ensures that we can quickly adapt to meet the needs of those who depend on us—and we need your support more than ever.
Here are just a few areas we are focused on:
- We are analyzing city, state, and federal legislation to expand worker protections amid the coronavirus to ensure ALL workers are covered.
- We are representing clients in judicial bypass hearings, which are hearings wherein a judge can grant minors permission to obtain an abortion.
- We are working with state authorities to ensure continuity of access to abortion care because abortion is essential healthcare.
- We are fielding requests for help through MeTooPA.org, our service devoted to assisting low-income workers and students experiencing sexual harassment.
- We continue to operate our Telephone Counseling & Referral Service.
As a non-profit legal center, we depend on supporters like you to be able to do this work, so thank you.
