“It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment.”
Martin Luther King, Jr. said these words while delivering his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech at the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
Today, exactly 57 years later, tens of thousands of Americans once again are convening and marching in Washington for the Commitment March: Get Your Knee off Our Necks.
The march will be led by families that intimately know the pain of racist violence, including the families of Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Jacob Blake.
Speeches begin at 11AM.
