Attempts to criminalize reproductive healthcare. Attacks on LGBTQ+ people. Rollbacks of protections for students who experience sexual assault and harassment. Ongoing refusal to protect pregnant workers. A spike in hate crimes. Repeated failures in police accountability. Deeply entrenched racial and gender biases in healthcare, workplaces, and the criminal justice system. Blatant attempts to suppress voters. Not to mention a pandemic that has stripped our country of the illusion that equality is even a shared goal of all.

Your support matters more than ever as we continue strategically fighting for justice and equality for women and LGBTQ+ people amid the chaos of this remarkable year.

We can’t gather in person, but we’d love to see your faces at our annual autumn gala, which will take place on Zoom at 6PM on Friday, November 20.

Please join us as we celebrate our shared resilience with defiant joy, plan for the many challenges ahead, and mingle with supporters of gender justice from all over Pennsylvania.

We will hear from WLP Executive Director Carol Tracy and celebrate the legacy of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Special Guest

We’re pleased to announce a very special guest: author, activist, and scholar Dorothy E. Roberts!

Currently the George A. Weiss University Professor of Law and Sociology and the Raymond Pace and Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander Professor of Civil Rights at the University of Pennsylvania, Professor Roberts is renowned for her pioneering work in race, gender, and the law, including the groundbreaking work Killing the Black Body.
