We are thrilled to announce two new hires in WLP’s Philadelphia office.

Lila Slovak brings more than two decades of experience as a non-profit leader, attorney, and advocate for gender justice to her new role as director of the Philadelphia office. Lila comes to WLP from her national role as the executive director of consulting at RAINN, the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the country. In addition to her strategic leadership of our Philadelphia-based work, Lila will lead our statewide systems-reform work focused on sexual and domestic violence.

“I’m honored to join WLP at this critical moment in our movement and history,” says Lila. “Like so many justice-minded advocates, I am committed to preserving and expanding our rights and to making the greatest impact in the face of proliferating threats and the chaos of the federal government. For me, that means joining WLP, an organization that I have long known to be a national leader and strategist of the state-based legal fight to protect and advance gender justice.”

Annmarie Pinarski brings decades of experience in labor organizing and workplace justice to her new role as a WLP staff attorney based in the Philadelphia office. At WLP, Annmarie focuses on workplace discrimination policy and advocacy and legal issues related to reproductive freedom.

“Though my whole career has been devoted to public interest law, I’ve long wanted to work directly on defending reproductive freedom,” says Annmarie. “I’m thrilled to work alongside attorneys who have been working so intensely in state law and courts as we strategize to defend Pennsylvanians from anti-abortion overreach and authoritarian extremism.”

Annmarie can be reached at apinarski@womenslawproject.org.
