World AIDS Day

Today, December 1, is World AIDS Day, a day to remember those who have died from AIDS and the work that still needs to be done to end the epidemic. Women’s eNews has a good article up about the interaction between AIDS and women. For example, did you know that women are the fastest-growing group in the U.S. being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS? Or that Hispanic women are five times more likely to contract HIV than white women, and African-American women are 21 times more likely to do so? Definitely check out the whole piece.
