The downturn in the economy may be taking a special toll on women’s health. According to a recent Harris Interactive poll, women are cutting back on healthcare due to costs. Over 40 percent of the 754 women polled said that their health had worsened in the past year, with the most frequently cited reason being stress and weight gain.
This is troubling, especially in light of recent reports that women are already paying more for health insurance policies than men (we blogged about it here).
